About Us

Dulcet Association is a legally registered non-profit and non governmental organization that was founded on August 1, 2023 by a group of concerned individuals. The association was created in response to the current food crisis and climate hazards, to help our community to improve in food production and practice regenerative agriculture in an environmental friendly way. Improving methods to contain the climate issues by working towards climate solutions. We target youths and women as they are the future so it can be taken from generation to generations. Not leaving out smallholder farmers in rural communities in Cameroon

The primary mission of the Dulcet Association is to assist internally displaced persons as well as other agricultural communities affected by the Anglophone crisis and the impacts of climate change. Recognizing the plight and difficulties faced by these vulnerable populations, whose existence is solely dependent on agriculture, the founders established the association to help them regain a sense of normalcy and stability in their lives.

A key focus of the Dulcet Association is on agricultural development and smart farming techniques. Given the significant impact of climate change on the region, the association aims to train displaced persons, smallholder farmers, and other agricultural communities, many of whom come from rural areas, on sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices. This includes teaching innovative food production methods, drought-resistant crop varieties, efficient water management techniques, and other strategies that can help ensure food security despite the challenges posed by a changing climate.

In addition to providing agricultural training, the Dulcet Association also offers farmers necessary assistance, such as seedlings, small start-up funds, and compost manure, to help them establish and maintain their farms. This comprehensive approach ensures that the beneficiaries have the resources and support they need to implement the sustainable farming techniques they have learned.

Alongside its agricultural initiatives, the Dulcet Association also undertakes activities to directly address the root causes and impacts of climate change in the region. This includes advocating for policies that promote renewable energy, supporting reforestation efforts, and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. The association recognizes that tackling the climate crisis is crucial for building long-term resilience and food security for the communities it serves.

The Dulcet Association takes a holistic approach, not only providing agricultural support but also working to improve the overall living conditions and well-being of the internally displaced people, smallholder farmers, and other agricultural communities it serves. The association seeks to empower these individuals and help them rebuild their lives and livelihoods in the face of the Anglophone crisis and the growing climate crisis.

Through its various programs and initiatives, the Dulcet Association strives to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by the Anglophone crisis and the impacts of climate change. By equipping displaced persons, smallholder farmers, and other agricultural communities with the knowledge, skills, and resources to engage in sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture, and by addressing the wider environmental challenges, the association aims to foster self-reliance and resilience within these communities.

As the Dulcet Association looks to establish a robust online presence, the association’s website should prominently feature its mission, goals, and the specific ways it is working to support internally displaced persons, smallholder farmers, and other agricultural communities through agricultural training, resource provision, and climate change mitigation efforts. The website should also provide information on the association’s leadership, partners, and any upcoming events or initiatives focused on addressing the intersection of the Anglophone crisis and the challenges posed by climate change.

Overall, the Dulcet Association is a community-driven effort that is making a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by the Anglophone crisis and the growing threat of climate change. Its focus on empowering displaced persons, smallholder farmers, and other agricultural communities through agricultural development, smart farming techniques, and climate change mitigation activities is a crucial and timely response to the multifaceted challenges faced by these vulnerable populations.
